Birdwatching
The deciduous vegetation that you’ll see in Huatulco is representative of what you’ll find in the entire coastal region of Oaxaca and is recognized as a biodiverse ecosystem. These tropical lowlands are home to a wealth of flora and fauna including over 350 species of birds. Choose between spending a day at the National Park or the Eco Archeological Park with an expert bird guide getting to know the regions birds.
National Park
3 Hour Tour
Enter the National Park and walk 20 minutes through this reserve area until reaching Cacaculta beach. Here you will spend time exploring the lagoon area and spotting Huatulco’s endemic birds.
Eco Archeological Park
4 Hour Tour
Enter the eco-archaeological park and head to a path called The Ceiba while spotting many of the areas endemic birds. From the Ceiba begin your walk toward the delta of the river where you will be able to see many migratory birds and check them off your list.
